The following applies to WSU students who are eligible for Veterans Affairs Educational Benefits, and who plan to attend a second institution as a guest student.
Generally, a student may be paid Veterans Educational Benefits while attending one institution only. the exception to this rule occurs when the student enrolls at a second institution as a guest. TO CONTINUE RECEIVING VA EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS, CREDITS EARNED AT THE SECOND INSTITUTION MUST BE APPLICABLE TO THE DEGREE PROGRAM OF THE PRIMARY SCHOOL. (The institution which will eventually grant the degree.)
The primary institution must verify to the Department of Veterans Affairs, via the Office of Military & Veterans Affairs, that the credits will be fully accepted from the guest institution and applied toward the student's degree.
TO STUDENT:
1. You must be a fully matriculated WSU student.
2. The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs must recieve the
attached form signed by your academic advisor.
3. The Veterans Office of the secondary institution must be informed
of your enrollment as a guest students.
4. A copy of hte enrollment certification completed by the secondary
VA Office must be sent to the Office of Military & Veterans
Affairs office at Wayne State University.
TO WSU ACADEMIC ADVISORS:
1. On the attached form, please list all courses taken at the
secondary institution which are APPLICABLE TO THE DEGREE AT WSU.
2. Sign and return form via the student or campus mail to:
