Natyshak/Armin Lose First Match of Season in First Round

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Wayne State’s Natalya Natyshak (Jr., Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey S.S.) and Leila Armin (Fr., Troy, Mich./Troy Athens) lost 8-2 to the No. 1-seeded Victoria Domina and Brenda Magnetti of Ouachita Baptist University in the first round of the Omni Hotels/Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Small College Championships on Thursday, Oct. 17.

The Warriors’ duo was undefeated at 14-0 until Thursday's loss to the Tiger team who finished third in the nation a year ago.

The Warriors will face Adrienn Hegedus and Amy Sun from BYU-Hawaii in the consolation semifinals round Friday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m.

Natyshak and Armin’s appearance is the first ever for the WSU women’s team at the ITA Championships.
