Warriors Run At Paul Short

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Competing among 33 collegiate teams from all three divisions, the Wayne State cross country teams placed fifth (women) and 13th (men) overall at the 29th Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University.

Shelly Vickery (Berkley, Mich.) led the women’s squad, placing 11th with a time of 21:50.99. The Penn State Nittany Lions took home the team trophy with 55 points.

Junior Brian Goodwin (Dearborn Hts., Mich.) finished the race in a time of 25:03.14 in 16th place. William & Mary won the men’s title with 49 points.

The Warriors now look ahead to next Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Cardinal Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Ky.
