Warriors Picked To Finish
Third In GLIAC Poll

By the vote of the head coaches in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), the Wayne State Warriors were selected to finish tied for third in the South Division in the pre-season poll. The Warriors are tied with Gannon University with 15 points. Findlay and Hillsdale were selected to tie for first with 23 points and three first-place votes apiece.

In the North Division, Northwood was selected to win the division as Grand Valley State and Northern Michigan and tied for second.

The Warriors begin play this weekend (Aug. 24-25) as they compete in the Ferris State Tournament. The next two weekends, Wayne State will be on the road competing at the Lewis Tournament in Romeoville, Ind., and at the Findlay Tournament in Findlay, Ohio. The Warriors open its home schedule on Tuesday, Sept. 11, by hosting Hillsdale. They will finish the weekend by hosting Saginaw Valley State (Sept. 14) and Northwood (Sept. 15).
