Wayne State dropped all three matches at the Lewis University Flyer Festival Volleyball Tournament in Romeoville, Ill., on Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

Wisconsin-Parkside defeated Wayne State 3-1 in opening action Friday, 30-28, 27-30, 30-19, 30-28. WSU then lost later that night to Minnesota State-Moorhead 3-2 (29-31, 30-24, 26-30, 30-25, 15-12).

Host Lewis sent WSU home Saturday with a 3-0 loss (30-13, 30-16, 30-18). Lewis won its own invitational with a 3-0 record.

The action at the Flyer Festival gives WSU a 2-4 overall record.

Sophomore outside hitter Nicole Salisbury (Ottawa Lake, MI/Bedford) was the lone Warrior named to the All-Flyer Festival Tournament Team.

Wayne State returns to action this weekend (Sept. 7-8) at the University of Findlay Tournament in Findlay, Ohio. The Warriors open the 2001 Great Lakes Conference season on Tuesday, Sept. 11, hosting Hillsdale College at 7 p.m. EDT.
