Warriors Fall At Kalamazoo College The Wayne State University men's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision Tuesday (March 5) at Kalamazoo College. The Warriors won two of the six singles matches after winning two of the three doubles matches. Victorious for WSU in singles were junior Mike Davis (Ferndale, MI/Almont) at No. 2 and senior Mikolaj Pontus (Gibraltar, MI/Carlson) at No. 3 singles. The Warriors no. 1 doubles team of Pontus and Davis were 8-5 winners, while the No. 3 doubles tandem of junior Hormis Tharakan (Ottawa, ONT/Brookfield) and sophomore Eduardo Carvalho (Santos, Brazil/Colegio Cenaculo) were also 8-5 winners. Wayne State is idle until its first match on its spring break trip when it faces St. Cloud State on Monday, March 11.
