WSU Cross Country Places in Top Five

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Wayne State men’s cross country team finished fifth out of 36 teams at the Midwest Collegiate Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday, Sept. 21.

Leading the Warriors was Mike Buslep, running in a time of 26:01 to finish fifth overall. Brian Goodwin ran the 8000 meter course in 26:15 (10th place), Ed Garza (26:47, 30th) and Justin Kessler (27:11, 40th) and Ryan Molloy (27:40, 51st) were the other Warrior finishers.

The top men’s squad was Division III powerhouse Wisconsin-Oshkosh with 43 points. Followed by Calvin College (86 points), Wisconsin-LaCrosse (95), Kenyon College (134) and Wayne State (136).
