WSU Tied-for-First At Spring Arbor Inv.

The Wayne State University men's golf team tied Siena Heights for first place in the Spring Arbor Invitational held on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at Cascades Golf Course.

The Warriors had a team score of 615 (313-302), while Siena had a 309-306--615.

Leading WSU were Blake Johnson (81-75--156), Nathan Johnson (80-76--156) and Nick Junttila (78-78--156). Also competing for WSU were Jacob Abramson (85-73--158) and Chris Hill (74-87--161).

Wayne State will be competing in the 2002 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship this Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 5-6) preceded by a practice round on Friday. The league championship is hosted by Grand Valley at the The Meadows Golf Course in Allendale, Mich.
