Warriors Finish Fifth
The Wayne State University men's golf team placed fifth at the Northern Michigan University Invitational held Sept. 7-8.
Grand Valley State (291-292--583) won the team title and was followed by Northwood (297-299--596), Findlay (298-301--599), Lake Superior (304-316--620), WAYNE STATE (314-312--626), Northern Michigan (326-316--642) and Hillsdale (326-327--653). Individually for the Warriors, freshmen Jacob Abramson (78-74) and Nate Johnson (75-77) tied for 13th at 152. Also competing for WSU were Chris Hill (T24 - 78-80--158), Blake Johnson (32nd - 83-81--164), and Kevin Zeleji (39th - 88-82--170). Kyle Gierada placed 33rd as an individual with a 165 (81-84). Wayne State's next tournament will be Sunday and Monday, Sept. 15-16 when it participates in the Northwood Invitational. |
